Custodians of Community Buildings
Masterplans and Development Trusts
Community Buildings are anchors for the people who use them. Their triple bottom line impacts can be huge, and so they need to be understood and improved on this basis. We look at these buildings and the people and communities that occupy them at all levels: we see them in their surroundings and develop masterplans around them, we develop Local Place Plans and create community passports, giving a vision for the future and a plan to get there.
There are lots of ways to generate and lock in community wealth, and many starting points for communities. You can start with a building and give it a 30 year plan in a Building Passport, and a Feasibility Study linked to a Business Plan from Community Enterprise.
Building Passport & Feasibility study with Community Enterprise
Sustaining the enterprise and defining roles.
We understand change takes a long time, that’s why we like milestone reviews, so you can document the progress you are making. we like that things take a long time, we like 5 – year reviews of the community voice, the trust, the enterprises and the roles.

Local Place Plans are a part of the Scottish Planning system. Making sure that your organisation and your building have the right structures around you for the next decade or two is essential to create the right environment for you to thrive.
Local Place Plans
The voice, and checking how far it is to a regenerative voice.
A community entity like a Development Trust helps to go about things in a structured way. It can hold property, apply for funds, and employ people.
